In response to a post by one Jarrett Stepman on _The Daily Signal_, the propaganda arm of The Heritage Foundation, an organ for which I used to have some respect, before they went all ultra-rightwing, and then discovered the ‘benefits’ of #TheIndustrialRageComplex of social media, which they then amped up 1000% with the advent of Trumpism.

Why do right-wingers fail so utterly at humor? This reminds me of the scene in Men In Tights

I supposed Stepan is similarly self-satisfied.
The funny thing about this screed is how utterly misplaced it is. Stepman thinks it’s about people who are ‘woke’, in a Orban-esque propagandistic sense, meaning ‘those who support LBGTQ rights’, but, in fact, I’m pretty sure it’s about people like him, who don’t.
Ostensibly this is about the reaction Chapelle’s comedy special, in which he made some statements about gender. If ever there was a tempest in a teacup, this is it, but that won’t stop shills like Stepman from drawing upsupported conclusions from a few miniscule grains of evidence to support his manufactured reality.
In Stepman’s topsy-turvy, cloud-cuckoo land, Netflix has taken a sudden right to a Right-Wing side of ‘artistic expression’ and told people that they can find another job if they don’t like it.
Which is, of course, completely ridiculous
Like the first line of his ‘essay’: a complete and utter miss
And, laughingly — and a bizarre example of ‘projection’ — there’s this howler.
‘Woke zealots don’t have a sense of humor. (a toll is a toll) And they don’t like jokes, (and a roll is a roll) as a counterprotester found out when he attended the Netflix walkout.’ (and if we don’t get no tolls, then we don’t get no rolls)
‘Counterprotestor’ is a link to a twitter video that shows some people protesting something about Chappell, but nothing happens in the video to justify any conclusion whatsoever, except, perhaps, that Stepan is given to leaping, both feet first, to the conclusion of his choosing.
In short, another example of Der Stürmer‘s (ahem The Daily Signal’s) propaganda.
Its Facebook audience will eat it up.
